Take One
I tell you all that my life was innocent. I was a cat. Just a housecat. I slept on the chair and I played with my people. I had two. I liked them. Janette and Barry were their names and they made much of me. Every night they took pictures of me and fed me with white tunafish. If only those days could have lasted. Alas., my nose did me in.
One day the wind blew through the house like a wild thing. Some substance, I knew not what, flew and landed on my floor. It smelled so good it drew me like a drug. That smell! I had to taste it. I couldn’t help myself.

Take Two
A feeling came over me like none I’d ever felt before. It was as if my blood were a flame burning through me and destroying the gentle cat that I was.

Take Three
A thing was born of me that day. A monster I am that will never die.

Take Four
I look into eternity knowing that the dark power that binds me will never be satiated.

Always the flame returns in my veins.

And I drink the not blood my dark soul must have.

What'd ya think? Huh? Huh? Was I good? Did you like me?
